I was invited to join the group by a dear friend of mine. I thought that I was too busy to take two hours a week to work on my issues, but it turns out that scheduling time for yourself is the most important thing to do. I loved that we started each session with an opening prayer. When asked if we wanted to share, I never expected to connect the dots and get to the bottom of some of my triggers. Before starting this class, I would go into flight mode if I felt anxious. But taking the course helped me sit in my sorrowful emotions and figure out where they came from. Our “homework” assignments were to begin to do the work within ourselves. I ended up liking the class so much that I referred my friend to check it out.
